Fungal Infections

A severely diseased nail is thick and discolored in appearance and often the nail will be break off or separate from the nail bed. It is very important to be properly assessed by a Podiatrist to determine if the nail is actually diseased. Often nails are treated for a fungal infection when in many cases there are other conditions that may affect the nails appearance. There are numerous ways to treat a diseased nail and in most cases it takes many months to resolve.
