Circulatory Issues

Poor circulation reduces blood supply to the feet which inhibits the healing process and creates a greater potential for infection. A Diabetic who also has poor circulation has a much higher risk of amputations. Having circulatory problems are more severe during the winter months, the hands and feet become extremely cold and painful, often lesions and ulcers will develop because the toes are starved for blood. A Podiatrist is an integral part of your health care team in prevention, treatment and patient education.
